AND DON’T

FUCKING

TELL PEOPLE

THAT THEY’RE NOT TRYING

BECAUSE HOW THE FUCK WOULD YOU KNOW IF THEY’RE TRYING OR NOT

JUST BECAUSE IT DOESN’T LIVE UP TO YOUR STANDARDS DOESN’T MEAN THEY’RE NOT TRYING

couthor asked: "I call thee, demon, to become my familiar and assist me with no tricks designed to gain more from me than what I am to willingly sacrifice." He read from the book easily before pouring a mix of blood, spit and something only a man could give.

The circle glows and a black fox rises out from it. It had horns that looked like an elk’s, wings like a raven’s, claws, and seven eyes(three on each side and one in the middle of his forehead. The demon looks up at him,”What is your wish?”

"You finished?"

He nods.

"Alright." He set the cup down and left some coins on the table.

He nuzzles his cheek.

Elias pet the fox gently as he stood and left the tavern.

He made a few happy fox noises, his tail wags.

"Alright. I’m going to take you shopping. Just tell me what clothing you’d like to wear.

((I kind of set it in Victorian England in my mind oops sorry))

((I did too…XXDDD))
He nods and nuzzles him.

The warlock strolled into a high end clothing store. “Just tell me what you want.”

"I like purple…I dunno…"he said, honestly having no idea what he wanted.

"I’ll walk by the clothes, just tell me if it’s something you want."

"Okay~"

"Keep in mind, I can alter the color later, and I’ll be picking them up in a size that’s large on you."

"Mkay~"he said, he pointed out a few slacks, some dress shirts, and some vests. "If it would be okay with you, I could go to hell for a bit and get some of my clothes."

"You need human clothes here," he stated plainly as he grabbed some larger sizes. "There are those who would quickly exorcise an ‘uncivilized’ demon."

"Why?"he asks, tilting his head. He was thinking about his own clothes. His hats, capes, boots, pants, dress shirts, vests, bowties, "My clothes aren’t uncivilized since I am a higher demon."

"Well, if you can beat the scent of Hell out of them, feel free. You’ll still need street clothes, though."

He pouts a bit, Hell smelled like death and fancy spices…and he rather loved that scent.

Elias looked at the demon. “Alright, only some of your clothes. But don’t wear them out.”

Kevin looked up at him. “That might be better, if you’d rather not explain to people why you’ve lost about twelve years..”

There was a pile of blankets with a shape inside, a sandwich with barely half a bite taken from it, and a glass of chocolate milk that hadn’t even been picked up. The computer had long since been in sleep mode.

"Elias? Are you awake?"

There was no response from the pile, no movement at all.

Kevin sat on the side of the bed, poked him a little. ‘Elias?’

No response. The shape under the covers seemed oddly soft for a person.

[Txt] are you alright? Need a nap?

Koli refused to open his eyes, “No. I wanna sleep.” He mumbled as he rolled over and buried his face against Elias’ chest, “Sleep.” He didn’t seem to register what Elias said.

"Koli, I’m gonna wake you up again if you keep talking"

"I wasn’t talking, I was sleeping." He mumbled against him.

"You were talking in your sleep."

quote

One of the most dangerous things about forgiveness is that it undercuts your ability to let go of your pent-up emotions. How can you acknowledge your anger against a parent whom you’ve already forgiven? Responsibility can go only one of two places: outward, onto the people who have hurt you, or inward, into yourself. Someone’s got to be responsible. So you may forgive your parents but end up hating yourself all the more in the exchange.

I also noticed that many clients rushed to forgiveness to avoid much of the painful work of therapy. They believed that by forgiving they could find a shortcut to feeling better. A handful of them “forgave,” left therapy, and wound up sinking even deeper into depression or anxiety.

Several of these clients clung to their fantasies: “All I have to do is forgive and I will be healed. I will have wonderful mental health, everybody is going to love everybody, we’ll hug a lot, and we’ll finally be happy.” Clients all too often discovered that the empty promise of forgiveness had merely set them up for bitter disappointment. Some of them experienced a rush of well-being, but it didn’t last because nothing had really changed in the way they felt or in their family interactions.
